About Eldorado Cafe
Sharing good food makes life better, feeds the soul, and helps our community get stronger. Eldorado Cafe serves hearty, Mexican-inspired comfort food that is meant to remind you of coming home. Whether joining us in-house, grabbing food curbside or via delivery, enjoy our creative cocktails, distinctive enchiladas, guisos, quesos, papas rellenas, dips, and signature salsas. We are excited to share the food we eat and the drinks we drink, every single day, with you! Eldorado Cafe is incredibly grateful for the dedication that our Eldorado Nation has displayed from the first day we opened our doors. Every day we are open, we make new friends and love every minute of it. Thank you to the investors, to the supporters, and to our amazing staff! We are humbled by all of you and your loyalty and generosity. Our hearts are full and we deeply appreciate you all.
About Our Founders
A veteran of kitchens and bars in Austin—as well as Dallas, Portland, Vail, and Nashville—Chef Joel Fried worked his way up, learning his craft from the Mexican line cooks and chefs that he admired. Along the way, he developed his culinary vision working at over 30 restaurants, including Jean Pierre’s Upstairs, Bitter End, Vespaio, Whole Foods, Angeluna (Fort Worth), Mezzaluna (Vail), and Tacodeli. Eldorado Cafe’s co-founder and Director of Catering & Marketing is Joanna Fried, who spent 10 years in Austin’s commercial film production community, worked in restaurant management in the Vail Valley and has served as a catering and special events coordinator.
